T. N. Daigle is an Air Force veteran, librarian, and author of The Cypress Run Quartet, a historical mystery series set on Florida’s 1880s frontier. When she isn’t writing about murder, idiots in love, and alligator-related hazards, she can usually be found hiding in the 900 section of the library.
T. N. Daigle is the author of The Cypress Run Quartet, a character-driven historical mystery series set on Florida’s wild and often forgotten 1880s frontier. An Air Force veteran, librarian, and graduate of Full Sail University’s Creative Writing MFA program, she writes stories filled with murder, political corruption, found family, slow-burn romance, and an arguably unreasonable number of alligators. Her fascination with the stranger corners of history—and the people who somehow survive them—has also led her to write short fiction, interactive fiction, and the occasional in-universe artifact. When she isn’t writing, she can usually be found hiding in the 900 section of the library.

T. N. Daigle is an Air Force veteran, librarian, and the author of The Cypress Run Quartet, a character-driven historical mystery series set on Florida’s wild and often forgotten 1880s frontier.
A lifelong lover of history, mysteries, and stories about people trying to build lives in difficult places, Daigle writes fiction that blends historical mystery with elements of frontier adventure, romance, political intrigue, and found family. Her debut novel, Cypress Run, introduces former Chicago detective Tom Bracken, who arrives in a tiny Florida frontier town expecting a fresh start and instead finds murder, corruption, hostile weather, and an alarming number of alligators.
The series grew from Daigle’s fascination with a side of Florida history that rarely appears in popular fiction: a post–Civil War frontier of railroads, cattle drives, isolated settlements, political upheaval, and communities being built in places that were still difficult—and occasionally dangerous—to reach. Her work combines historical research with a healthy appreciation for the absurdity of surviving Florida.
Daigle holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Full Sail University and works as a librarian, where she has the professionally convenient excuse of being surrounded by books and the personally dangerous ability to turn almost any research question into a prolonged expedition through the 900 section.
In addition to The Cypress Run Quartet, she writes short fiction, interactive fiction, and in-universe artifacts that expand the worlds of her stories. She lives in Florida, where the weather and wildlife continue to provide entirely too much material.
