There are always limitations on what you can and can't do. But I enjoy that. Just like when you write a sonnet or haiku, there are rules you have to abide by. — J. Michael Straczynski
They're simple. They're fun.
The point must be made quickly.
I love good haikus.

Floating cotton seeds
Snowing in spring, white on green
Twirl through the sky
Cold and silent dark,
Holding me close in its arms,
Quiet night with stars
Dead branch, cold and brown,
Reaching vainly to the sky,
Bare twigs cannot frown
Trickling water
Around, over, under stone
Drifting blue and gray

Blue wrapped in white
The clouds are puffy and warm
Baby blanket sky

Sun sinks behind clouds
Painted pink and purple gray
Calming and serene

Green, wind-ruffled leaves
Shining bright in sunlight
Crown the tops of trees

My face is hidden,
As is the soul within me.
I am my own mask.
